Arsenal TV launches on Setanta.

Setanta the digital TV sports channel has added a new channel to it's line up. Arsenal TV. Live Arsenal football TV every week.

As of Monday 14th January Arsenal TV is available on Setanta. Arsenal TV, broadcast on satellite channel 423, will show six hours of Arsenal related programming every week between 5pm and 11pm, including regular bulletins from the Emirates Stadium, full match action from every first team match - not live but on a delayed basis, every Arsenal reserve match live, exclusive interviews with manager Arsene Wenger and classic moments from Arsenal’s illustrious past.

Vodafone reduces monthly tariff on Nokia N95 8GB

The Nokia N95 is one of the highest spec mobile phones on the market. It boasts a 5 megapixel digital camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a huge 8GB memory, so you can save all the snaps you take with the camera.

Gas Prices Set to Rise in 2008

Gas prices have started to rise again this year and the trend looks set to continue through 2008.

NPower is the latest utility company to increase the price of gas and electricity following British Gas who have increased the price of gas by up to 15% for some of their tariffs.

Npower's prices will rise by 17% for gas and 13% for electricity on it's energy tracker price plan, the rises will come into effect from 1st January 2008.

It is likely that these prices will continue to rise throughout next year. One way to try and cut the cost of these utility bills is to compare your current tariffs with other suppliers to see if you are with the cheapest company and on the best tariff for your consumption.

They will even help you to apply for the new supplier and change your accounts over from your old one, thus making it quicker and easier to change.

Ofcom enquiry into Sky's Digital TV Dominance.

Ofcom, the communications watchdog is to examine Sky's dominance of digital TV in the UK to see if Sky have “the incentive to make their premium content, such as sports and movies, available to other retailers and other platform operators”.

This could be a good move for other digital TV operators such as Setanta and Virgin, and might mean that Sky will have to offer their channels to the other TV companies for less than they currently charge. It might also mean that other digital TV companies will find it easier to start up.

Ofcom will investigate further, especially Sky's policy of selling Sports and Movies to subscribers who take the basic channel options. They will finally decide at the end of next year when their investigation ends and they might refer it to the competition commission.

So it will be a while yet before we will know if it will result in lower prices or more choice. In the meantime we will continue to list details of special offers and discounts for Setanta, Sky and Virgin Media
